Innocent Baby

Just finished this LO also for Scrapbukan. This is my budget LO costing under Ps150. I forced myself to use only 1 patterned paper (from Fancy Pants Key Lime Pie) and everything else consists of great finds from Divisoria.

Doing a budget LO is harder than I thought since I've grown accustomed to using several pps and pre-made embellishments in my LOs. Sahrie said we could use stamps but no Sizzix dies so the biggest challenge was how to make the title because I had no plans of hand-cutting my title.

Materials Used: From Scrapbukan: Fancy Pants Key Lime Pie patterned paper; Others - Making Memories Acrylic Paint, Paper Salon Stamp (baby), Diamond Glaze, misc lace, ribbons, metal ribbon slide, metal flowers, bling, rub-ons.

Happy Girl

Just finished this LO for Scrapbukan from our new kit featuring Fancy Pants Key Lime papers, American Crafts foam flowers and Sakura Souffle pens.

This picture of Nadya was taken at Dream World in Australia as she got in behind the wheel of Blues Clues' airplane. That was indeed a happy day for everyone.

Hidden journaling via the pull-out flower reads: The simplest things make you happy -- anything pink will do the trick! Nadya, Oct 2006

Materials Used: From Scrapbukan - Fancy Pants Key Lime pps, American Crafts foam flowers, Heidi Swapp plastic letters, Sakura Souffle pen, Lil Davis Crillon Journaling Stamp. Others - Bazzil cs, Making Memories crystal brads, ribbon slide & acrylic paint, Heidi Swapp metallic paint, Queen & Co hook-ups and brads, PCX ink, misc rikrak.

I haven't posted many LOs lately because I just finally finished my LOs for my 2006 Disney album -- 37 2-page spreads -- and am now working on the final embellishments before I post the whole thing. Whew! I'll be glad when this is over and done with.

Scrapbytes April 2007 Issue

Finally finished editing and uploading the April 2007 issue of Scrapbytes. Mia is still on leave so the Scrappin' Moms asked me to take-over while she's gone. It was fun to do (as most "firsts" are) but Mia can take it back any time! Haha!

Thanks to all the contributors (Pia & Jeff, Maybs, Nina, Iris, Lee, Joanne, Cabbie, Addie, Liza and Ariel) whose articles I practically shoved down their throats since I was informed about my new role only 2 weeks ago. Reading and editing their articles made me want to stop what I was doing and get back to scrapping.

And just as I was ready to upload everything last night, my dsl connection went loco so I had to ask April to upload it for me. Thankfully, it seems that only the router is causing problems because when I connected directly to my modem this morning, I got connected and was able to finally "publish" it.

I hope everyone who reads it enjoys it and learns something from it because I sure learned a lot from this exercise.

How Happy Am I?

I hope this one doesn't cause any confusion:)
You Are Very Happy

Your life is totally together, and you enjoy every day.
And you don't need a quiz to tell you that!
You know how to find pleasure in the little things...
And even when life isn't so great, you have a good sense of perspective.

Splash!

Finished this LO yesterday of Bianca getting a surprise splash of water from a hole in the floor at Sea World, Australia. It's a cool play area at the Cartoon Network Beach with a giant Dexter sprinkler and holes in the ground where water would spurt out sporadically. Bianca tried to cover-up a hole and got a wet surprise. Not a great work of art but I wanted to just let go and have fun with this LO.

Title: Splash!

Journaling: Bianca gets splashed from a hole in the water play area at Sea World, Australia. Nov 2006

Materials Used: BG Phoebe pps, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, chalk ink, misc brads and eyelets

I have so much on my plate that I can't figure out what to do first (who says SAHMs have nothing to do?):
* finish my 2006 Disney Scrapbook
* edit pics for developing (haven't even developed pics from Bianca's 1st Bday last September -- and I have such great Easter pics that I can't touch until then -- have to do FIFO or I'll never get to to the older pics)
* scrap the pics that I already have (I just printed 100+ 5r pics 2 wks ago)
* try out this caramel cake recipe that's been sitting on my desk for 2 months (of course, I'm also supposed to start my diet today -- haha)
* get a facial, color my hair, mani/pedi/foot spa (my feet are crying for this)
* buy a gift for Nadya's children's party this afternoon
* finish my Scrapbytes article

I just finished clearing some space in my scraproom, maybe I'll give the rest of the day a rest! Haha!
